After 18 hours the exchange students and their teachers finally arrived at the Charlotte airport where they were greeted with a very warm welcome. The guests stayed with their host families on the weekend and slowly got to know the American way of life. On Monday the group was welcomed to the school with a typical American breakfast - donuts, muffins, sausage biscuits, and chick fil-a rolls. Then the Germans shadowed the American students in their classes. The next day the exchange group rode on an activity bus and arrived at the US National Whitewater Center: rafting, bicycling, climbing, kayaking under a blazing sun! The group is looking forward to spending the day with Mr Braun's German classes and discussing the theme of "prejudices and discrimination". Special classes have been prepared for Friday and the students can hardly wait until the weekend. Bye from the sunny South! (HB, HM, KN)
