On Monday we went to the town hall (rat house) and had a reception with the mayor, Karin Meincke and we wrote our names in the official guestbook. Afterward we had a nice walking tour of Krefeld with our ever-present guide, Mrs. Goris.

Tuesday was travel and sightseeing day: Streetcar, train, subway, cog railroad (Kingswinter), ship, on foot. First Cologne Cathedral- we climbed 553 stairs to the top of the steeple. Then on to Bonn in the House of History- lots to see and lots to do. Then on the Rhine by ship to Kingswinter and the Dragon Cliff.

Thursday bicycle tour to the Castle Linn- we had a great guided tour of the museum and the fortress.

Saturday and Sunday we spent in the City of Love: PARIS! We had a beautiful view at 10.30 pm from the Tour d' Eiffel- City tour on the bus and saw Notre Dame and experienced a church service. We kept up with the soccer score by radio and internet on the Bus - Germany beat England 4-1 and we screamed for joy at every goal and woke up all of the sleepers on the bus!
