Corrie, Valerie, Alyssa, Matt, Carson, Austin, Andrew, Lorraine and Harry are guests from Charlotte, NC Krefeld's sister city. They are hosted by 7 students from GaM and two teachers. They touched down after a flight from Atlanta, Georgia on June 12. The Moltke hosts had been at Marvin Ridge High School in Waxhaw near Charlotte in April. The hosts have prepared a full program for their Americans: Reception at school, Linn Castle visit, Siempelkamp tour, museums, and lots of shopping. Last weekend was spent in Paris and tours of Cologne, Düsseldorf and Bonn have given students much to write home about. The guests and their hosts have been able to watch the many soccer games on tv and to celebrate with the German fans. This weekend GaM will have their graduation and a party in the evening. On Monday the group will have a reception with the mayor and then board the train to Munich. They will spend three days in the Bavarian capital and see of course the famous castle Neuschwanstein. We hope that the students have enjoyed their stay in Krefeld and wish them a safe and happy return to the USA.
